Joe Chamberlain

Ashe County real estate agent Joe ChamberlainLike so many others, I first came to the mountains to get away from the fast pace of city life. The combination of natural beauty and friendly small town atmosphere made Ashe County a perfect fit for me. Since then I have worked tirelessly to learn everything I can about Ashe County. Today, I am considered an expert on the area and what it has to offer.

Shortly after arriving in Ashe County, I established Buyer’s Choice Realty, a firm offering exclusive buyer representation. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of satisfied buyer clients, finding them the right property while protecting their interests and their wallet. In 2006, I established Mountainscape Realty and we moved to our present location in Jefferson. Since then the firm has expanded while enjoying great success.

I hold degrees in both criminal justice (bachelor) and business administration (masters). I am also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a proud member of the local Jefferson’s Rotary club of which I have served as a past president. I currently serve on many local boards and committees which provide me with an opportunity to give back to the community I love so much.

Mark Bower

Ashe County real estate agent Stacey HamiltonI am a native of Ashe County and have always considered myself fortunate to be able to live, work and raise my family here. My wife and I have a home on the South Fork of the New River in the Idlewild community. We have three sons, Joseph lives in Raleigh, and two college-age sons: Matthew, who is a senior at ASU and Seth, a sophmore at Wilkes Community. I have been a member of Pine Swamp Baptist Church for over 20 years and have been the adult Sunday school class teacher for the past 8 years.

I have been a real estate broker here in Ashe County since 1990. I am also a General Contractor in the state of North Carolina and have most recently become a NC registered appraiser trainee. My knowledge of home values and construction gives me a real advantage when working with my clients and brings a broad understanding of the real estate sales process to every transaction. I take pride in knowing and serving my neighbors in their real estate needs. I feel that building a personal relationship is the key to my success and to your satisfaction. Together, you and I can achieve the results you want and deserve.

Life is all about choices - and making the best choices in life is what makes us the people we are today - and what gives us the best opportunities to fulfill our hopes and dreams. For my customers, I pledge a level of commitment, dedication and motivation that will exceed your expectations. I will go the extra mile to help you realize your goals and pursue the best options available for you. I will be available at all times throughout the process - as your realtor and as your friend. There is nothing more gratifying to me than handing someone the keys to their new residence. It allows me to contribute to people's lives in a very personal way. Assisting people in finding the perfect place to call home is both an honor and a privilege.

Amber Murphy

Ashe County real estate agent Richard EdmondsonBorn in Hickory NC and raised in Ashe County NC I have spent most of my life in the Mountains of North Carolina.  Even in college I did not stray from the majestic beauty of the mountains as I attended and am a graduate of Appalachian State University.  My love for the outdoors led me to a degree in Recreation Management with a Business Minor.  Real Estate gives me the best of both worlds, a profession that is business oriented, but yet I get to spend my time touring and admiring the beauty of my mountainous home.

I have been married for three years to my wonderful husband TJ Murphy, who has also spent most of his life here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Together with my stepdaughter, Bryson (8) and my son, Talon (2) we have had many adventures and memories made hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, Canoeing the New River, gardening, canning, fishing, picnicking, and any other outdoor related activity we can think of.   My husband and I are faithful and active members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lansing.  We participate in the choir, teach Bible School, and help with various other activities.

I believe Ashe County is an Oasis in the desert.  Living here is like being on a private getaway.  You have the opportunity for adventures with activities such as hiking, canoeing, camping, etc.  You also have the wonderful solitude of a quiet mountain town.  As you visit the small local shops and dining you can feel the laid back atmosphere and relax knowing there is no rush, just time.

Please call me. I would be happy to assist you in your search for the perfect mountain property.

Kevin Robinson

Ashe County real estate agent Richard EdmondsonI was raised in Connecticut and moved to Florida as a teenager, where I spent the next 33 years. After being discharged from the Marine Corps in 1968, I spent the majority of my working career in the insurance business with Met Life and later with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida.  Early in 1996 my family and I moved to the Valle Crucis area where we operated a bed and breakfast.  After about a year we sold the B&B, and bought our present home in Seven Devils. The transition from Florida to the mountains was not an easy one, but we always loved coming here in the summer and really wanted to change our way of life a little.

If you have ever shopped at Belk's in the Boone Mall, my face may seem familiar to you.  I worked within the men's department full time until just recently. After retiring from full time status last year, I finally decided with a little encouragement from my daughter, Christina to begin my new career in real estate.

While my knowledge in the business world comes from various sources, I strongly believe that whether you are helping someone plan for their retirement, fitting them for a new suit of clothes, or finding them the perfect first or second home, that giving them courteous and knowledgeable service is most important.

Having been a buyer myself to a new area, I know how important it is to be able trust the person you are dealing with. Over the last 40 years I have worked with a variety of people in many different situations and I hope to be working with many of you as well in the near future.
